We also have taken on an increasing level of custom work and since our speakers are short run, with a great many hand processes, a considerable number of cosmetic seconds result. And they have built up. Having just moved and built new, we have seen a large number of cabinets and drivers come out of hiding.

Here are a few term descriptions for clarification.

Cosmetic second (blem): A regular production speaker with some form of cosmetic defect - usually minor. New and acoustically A-1 with full 5 year warranty.

Demo: A regular production speaker that has been off our premises for any reason. To a customer, to a reviewer, to a show. Full 5 year warranty.

Prototype: A very wide range of speakers from well finished pre-production to very rough initial prototypes and badly blemed regular production. Performance specs approximate production units. A digital crossover will yield fabulous musical results with any of these systems. Full 5 year warranty.
